A Trip to Pulau Ubin Series IV : Things that don't move.

#13 - The Flamboyant Canoe : Painted in bright yellow, parked at a place where it is not meant to be. This canoe caught my eyes, it stood out distinctively from the dark shed that it was parked in.

#14 - Those Wooden Logs: Old boring logs sunbathing in the open.

#15 - The House That Looks Like A House: I had to deviate from the normal paved road to find this house. There's no proper road that leads to the house. When we were young, whenever we were tasked to draw a house, we would draw something identical to the one shown in the picture. Not anymore, houses like this can't be found in Singapore anymore.

#16 - Forty Two's Wall: God knows what those numbers mean..

#17 - The Disassembled Riding Machine: This is an interesting pool of trash found in front of a deserted house. Must be the work of an aspiring Mechanical Engineer.

Upcoming Series: Things that you see. Scenes that you see =)

in reference to the "42". in a book by doug adams (hitchikers guide to the galaxy), the number 42 is significant as it is the answer to the question of "life, the universe, and everything". in order to fully understand this concept, it is probably best to read the book and see the perspective to which it is implied.

of course, in your photograph, it could just be a random number 42 painted on a wall.

Hey Ruthie,

Thanks for listing out the possibilities of the number '42' in my picture. Didn't know the numbers can mean so much.

Very enlightening indeed.
Thanks!

=)
